As the second major play space we’ve delivered in Stuart Park — following the original install back in 2015 — this new sensory-focused zone was created as part of a broader master plan to provide an All Ages, All Abilities play destination for the entire community.

Executed in collaboration with Growth Civil Landscapes, who acted as principal contractor, this space was made possible through the combined support of several grant programs and passionate individuals who championed inclusive play from the very beginning. It’s thanks to their dedication that the dream of a universally accessible, multi-sensory playground has now become a reality.

The result is a playspace that goes beyond the expected. Nestled within the broader Stuart Park playground precinct, the sensory area offers rich, meaningful engagement for children & adults of all abilities. It has been designed to stimulate through touch, sound, sight and movement — and just as importantly, to invite participation without barriers.

From accessible pathways and tactile surfaces to sensory panels and imaginative play elements, every detail has been carefully considered. Moduplay’s in-house team worked closely with stakeholders to ensure the space met the highest standards of safety, accessibility and fun — while complementing the natural beauty of the site.

Recently recognised with a National People’s Choice Award, the Stuart Park Sensory Area is already proving to be a much-loved destination for local families, carers, and visitors from further afield.

An inclusive space. A collaborative vision. A true community win.
