This Moduplay Design and Construct for St Pius X Primary School Unanderra, sees the transformation of an otherwise underutilised space, into a multi-faceted and refreshing playspace for students to keep active and social. Built around, and incorporating an existing ball court, the area provides an exciting smorgasbord of activities whilst making best use of a site with slopes and limited areas.

Little nooks, like the low-level balance course, serve as peaceful areas away from bustling ball games, while the Konnecta unit functions as a one-stop challenge of coordination and upper body strength. Overlooking it all stands the mighty “Cutter”, an epic voyager of the seas and a popular Moduplay Adventure Play addition. A vessel to ignite the imagination and let it run wild!
Built up by clever design and landscaping techniques, sandstone edging and hearty shrubs not only add to an overall natural aesthetic, but serve as a practical means to levelling the site and creating distinctive spaces within the area, all the while maintaining a clear line of sight for supervising teachers.
