McGirr Park
A major upgrade has brought new life to McGirr Park in Miller — transforming it into a standout play space for local families, sports clubs and community groups. Set alongside Cabramatta Creek and part of a broader precinct renewal, the revamped playground now balances high play value with community connection and practical usability.
Project Overview
- Budget (Equipment Only)
- $350,000 – $400,000
- Date Built
- 2025
Delivered in partnership with Eximia Design and Simpson Landscapes, this project tested every part of the process — from concept through to completion. Our team worked through multiple rounds of revisions to ensure the final outcome met community expectations, respected budget requirements, and, most importantly, delivered the kind of play experience this area deserves.
At the heart of the space is the SkyBlocks Kubus Triple, offering height, challenge and imaginative movement through a multi-level cube structure. It’s supported by a variety of freestanding equipment including:
- Full Hex Swing
- Luna Carousel
- Quartz Camel Climber, Joey and Kookie rockers
The space is inclusive, shaded, and within easy reach of local amenities — making it an ideal destination for a quick play session or a full day out with the family. The muted colour palette blends naturally into the surrounding parkland, while softfall surfacing and accessible paths make the space easy to navigate for everyone.
More than just a playground, McGirr Park is now an iconic district community space that has something for everyone. Whether it’s families enjoying the weekend sun, kids letting loose after school, or sporting groups using the area to connect and recharge — this is a space built for people, and it shows.
