Kelly Reserve

Inspired by the Lachlan Shire’s natural water systems, the splash park offers an interactive and educational experience where children can engage with water jets, splash pads, and trickling streams, all while learning about the importance of water in the local environment. It’s a fun and engaging way to discover the wonders of water, and the perfect place to keep cool in scorching summers!

Beyond the splash pad, Kelly Reserve is packed with exciting play features:

Kelly Reserve is truly a space for everyone! With concrete paths and wheelchair-accessible ramps leading to various activities, the park ensures that people of all abilities can join in the fun. This commitment to inclusivity is what makes Kelly Reserve so unique, fostering a sense of belonging and shared enjoyment for all visitors.

A truly special aspect of Kelly Reserve is the integration of Wiradjuri storytelling. Throughout the park, interpretive signage shares the knowledge and stories of the Wiradjuri people, the traditional custodians of the land. These elements highlight the deep connection between the Wiradjuri people and water, adding a rich layer of cultural significance to the play experience.

The Kelly Reserve Water Play Space was made possible through funding from the NSW Government’s Places to Play program, the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and involvement from Evolution Mining. This project truly reflects the commitment of both Moduplay and Parkes Shire Council to creating inclusive and engaging play spaces that benefit the entire community.
