The concept was to model the new playground on the Cat 1 Fire Truck unit commonly used by the NSW RFS also being the model of Fire Truck in use at the time of the accident. Our designers took proportions from the Fire Truck and applied them to the design of the playground structure, adding lots of extra play features along the way, to increase the play value and authenticity of the Fire Truck play theme.Careful management of the design and build process ensured we maintained the design intent and the clients brief as well as strict compliance with the relevant Australian Safety Standards for Playground Equipment.

This required engaging and working closely with the NSW RFS, the private donors that funded the project, the Wollondilly Shire Council, the families directly involved with the tragedy and the Buxton community.

The outcome is a beautiful play area that represents a place of reflection and enjoyment for everybody that visits.

The Moduplay Design Team is ready to work with you to create that special place of play for your next project.
