Cooper Street Reserve
Having undergone a remarkable transformation, Cooper Street Reserve has emerged a vibrant, immersive and inclusive community space. The collaborative project between Moduplay Group, Sutherland Shire Council and Auscape Landscaping saw the construction of a state of the art inclusive playspace, as well as an adjoining skate park and pump track.

The goal was clear; to create a vibrant and inclusive recreational facility that caters to inclusive, intergenerational play and embodies the “Everyone Can Play” approach for all ages and abilities. The space has unveiled nothing less.
At the core of Cooper Street, Moduplay’s grand bespoke “Treetop Walkway” and boardwalk offers a captivating centrepiece and vantage point of the space below. Designed to be accessible to all ages and abilities, the extensive ramp and various play panels along the rails makes it suitable for wheelchair users, a braille activity panel caters for the vision impaired, while a number of tube slides, varying in size, are accessible to a range of ages.
Encapsulating the heart of an Aussie backyard, the iconic Hills Hoist inspired water play unit, chooks in the garden, and a general air of nostalgia gives the space a magical charm, one that can be felt and appreciated by everyone who visits.
Featuring some of Moduplay’s classic playground elements including an All-Access Carousel, Zodiac Swing, a variety of Town Items and Trampolines, the playspace provides immense play value to users of all ages and abilities.
By prioritising inclusivity and accessibility, the site has become a model for community-focused design. The playground’s thoughtful integration of play elements, combined with the surrounding natural environment creates a welcoming space for families, friends and the greater community to connect and enjoy.
