Working closely with the school, the Moduplay team was able to provide skilled advice to take full advantage of the school’s available space. In this, the team was able to construct three separate, contemporary, and engaging playground areas to budget – each possessing a variety of uses for both improved play value and developmental growth.

Exciting playgrounds upgrades
Cana Catholic Primary in Hillside Victoria has seen some impressive new upgrades to their school playground!
Each of the new areas has been designed with a unique purpose, accommodating for every age, stage, and ability within the school community.
- Junior Area: A classic Capital Unit offers a multitude of play options for junior and infants’ students.
- Central Area: A multi-functional Geoclimber unit adorned with climbing and overhead activities, a test of coordination and upper body strength.
- Senior Area: Designed to encourage fitness, full body strength and agility. The Ninja Course is sure to get hearts pumping.
Enhancing school landscape with purposeful playground design
Each individual site has been integrated into the already existing school landscape. With sandstone borders and shade sails to protect against the lunchtime rays, each playground can be utilised not only as a fun release of energy at recess but can be integrated in classroom outdoor activities and act to encourage students to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
